WIPLRN aims at building collaborative relationships among Indigenous and non-Indigenous women scholars engaged in Indigenous policy and law research across the ANU.

The main objective of the network is:

• to provide a supportive, dynamic, and collegial space to connect and foster the exchange of ideas as well as potential research partnerships and research grant applications among this growing cohort of scholars.
• offer new platforms to present and discuss our research and will
• to provide access to mentoring and advice to its members around scholarship and funding applications.

Launched by the Honorable Linda Burney MP on 29 March 2018, WIPLRN will host quarterly social gatherings including formal events with invited speakers.

The network is an initiative funded by an ANU Futures Scheme. Associate Professor Howard-Wagner has received funding under this scheme that will allow the network to host a series of events in 2018, 2019 and 2020.
