WIPLRN Seminar - Professor Jakelin Troy

Professor Jakelin Troy, Director of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Research at The University of Sydney.

The ANU Women engaged in Indigenous Policy and Law Research Network (WIPLRN) has the pleasure to announce Professor Jakelin Troy will be the Network’s guest in October. Jakelin Troy is a Ngarigu woman and Director of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Research at The University of Sydney. Professor Troy’s research and academic interests focus on languages, particularly endangered Aboriginal and ‘contact languages’, language education, linguistics, anthropology and visual arts.

Professor Troy will talk about her recent work from 13:30 to 14:30 (including Q & A). Her presentation will be followed by light refreshments.

An abstract will follow closer to the event.

For catering purposes, please RSVP at wiplrn.rsss@anu.edu.au by Thursday 10 October. Let us know if you have dietary requirements.

This event is for the network’s members. We may not have reached everyone all of our ANU female colleagues working in this space so if you know of people who are not on this list or who are new to the ANU, please feel free to forward this email.
