  • Biography

Oscar Wycisk joined the (formerly) Centre for Aboriginal Economic Policy Research as an Indigenous Studies Honours student in February 2023. In August of the same year, he was invited to transfer his research into an MPhil programme at the Centre. His research uses econometrics to investigate the recent Northern Territory Government Indigenous Education Strategy (2015-2024) and its impacts on educational and socioeconomic outcomes.

Oscar also works for the Centre as a Quantitative Research Officer, investigating the protective factors of First Nations’ youth social and emotional wellbeing using the Department of Social Services’ Longitudinal Survey of Indigenous Children.

Oscar trained in economics and econometrics at the University of Melbourne. In his spare time, he enjoys exploring the bush, cycling and performing music.
