  • Biography

Liza Brachtendorf (Hong) is a PhD candidate and works as a Research Officer at the Australian National University’s Centre for Indigenous Policy Research. Her research focuses on First Nations’ activism, Indigenous development, political resistance, and education. Liza works across a range of research projects, including the Learning on Country Program. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Politics and Economics of East Asia from Ruhr-University Bochum and a Master’s degree in Asian and Pacific Studies from the Australian National University, for which she won the University medal.
